My Chinese wife overheard my listening to this lesson. And she said that it would be wrong to use the "ma" in the "zen3mele ma" sentence.
My wife told me that some of the only times you would use ma after Zen3mele would be if for example you had been together with a friend and suddenly felt the your friend was sad.
