October 15, 2015 at 5:33 AMI'd also vote for not having English subtitles, I think my eye would be too drawn to the familiar and my brain wouldn't be forced to think hard about what I'm hearing. I think the brilliant thing about Chinesepod is how the teaching method is so clearly well-thought-through, and the English explanations change gradually to Chinese through the levels.

October 15, 2015 at 5:28 AMFantastic lesson! Thank you so much! As others have said, it's really appreciated how much work clearly goes into this and it's extremely fun to learn this way. I'm finding the videos help me to learn faster because I can watch your faces... it may sound silly but learning Chinese, my mouth is having to learn to do new things, and watching how sounds are being formed is really helpful. I also really really enjoyed having a non-native as part of the dialogue - for lots of reasons, but particularly as it gives me a realistic view of the level I hope to someday attain.
Anyway. Just a big thank you. :)

You make Chinese so accessible and clear. How can I ever forget this sentence structure now?! :D More videos pretty please?!! Brilliant. Now I'm off to tell everyone that they've made me angry :D xxx

February 21, 2016 at 11:54 AMI agree. Lovely microphones, but for me, the main thing I love about the video lessons is the opportunity to watch faces/mouth shapes during the dialogue. x
