When I search the grammar in the dialogue I can't find it. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

I think this mostly applies to SH and BJ. If you go just a little further, e.g., Hangzhou, then suddenly nobody speaks English anymore, not even the police or the people at the airport. Shanghai is just a very international city.
