In one of the Expansion sentences, 著作 (zhùzuò) is translated as "work".

Its meaning is "works" or more specifically "writings", is this correct?

You would never use it to describe a "job", correct?

The context of 威信 (wēixìn) "prestige".

Would you ever use this to describe a person?

Can you use it to describe a band, or a movie, a book, art exhibition etc. ?

Thanks

If you want your Chinese teacher to have zero personality, just stick with textbooks.

Top work Ryan! (and David too!)

At the end you taught us "quit" "to resign" and "replacement".

How do you say: "to fire someone" or "he/she was fired"

Cheers

From my experience in China (2008-2010), the cheap Great Wall brands were awful to drink.

In Australia you could pay $15 and get a decent bottle of wine. In China you need to spend at least a couple of hundred RMB before you get to something half decent.

Maybe the quality has improved now?

Shanell good on you: right at the end of the lesson you call out the discriminatory atttitude towards people who carry certain diseases. "Gongzuo hen laolei" not a sufficient excuse.
