May 15, 2009 at 10:43 AMWhat is the difference between 牛肉面 and 牛肉饭? I frequented a small noodle shop across from 上海交通大学, and I ALWAYS ordered the 牛肉饭 (7 元 for a 大碗 mmmm). 又好吃又便宜! I remember the first time I went there, I asked for 牛肉面, but the lady gave me a weird look and kept saying 牛肉饭. I can't remember whether the menu on the wall said 牛肉面 or 牛肉饭...

a lesson about returning to my home country just as my 中国 Odyssey is coming to an end...less than 3 weeks until my semester in Hong Kong ends, but on the bright side, 50 weeks until Shanghai 2010 adventure! Can't wait to be surrounded with 普通话 and 上海话!
