I've been studying in China for almost 11 months now and sometimes I get trapped in situation like this one. Speaking Chinese is one of the hardest aspects of the language and if you don't practice is every day it quickly falls behind. Besides, with all that hard grammar it takes so much time to form a well-constructed and grammatically correct sentence that you need to speak a lot so speaking becomes an instinct.
