Ethics and business: a difficult combination, also in China. My impression is that the central Chinese government is really serious about labour conditions (new labour law etc.) and the environment. It is the lower levels of administration and local circuits of power which stand in the way of business ethics and sustainability. Local mafia versus national law, this is also an important background of unsafe coal mines... Very courageous of ChinesePod to deal with this kind of problem in their lessons!

You asked us about Chinese mp3 players and their quality. I just bought a 4 G player yesterday. Of course it's Chinese. I would be very difficult finding one that was not produced in China! Advantage: it also produces simplified characters on the little screen. With this player listening to the Pods has become really easy. It's quality? We'll see.
