May 22, 2014 at 9:35 PMChina has seen big social changes in a very short time so it's not difficult for me to think that gay marriage will be legal in China some day in the not too distant future.
As mentioned, here in the UK, gay marriage is now legal. It was only between 1967 and 1980 that it even became legal to be gay, however. Before that, you would be sent to prison. I see that Vera thinks it unlikely that Chinese law would ever permit gay marriage but 20 years ago, most people would likely have said the same thing in the UK. Who knows what China will be like in 20 years? ;).
