China has seen big social changes in a very short time so it's not difficult for me to think that gay marriage will be legal in China some day in the not too distant future.

As mentioned, here in the UK, gay marriage is now legal. It was only between 1967 and 1980 that it even became legal to be gay, however. Before that, you would be sent to prison. I see that Vera thinks it unlikely that Chinese law would ever permit gay marriage but 20 years ago, most people would likely have said the same thing in the UK. Who knows what China will be like in 20 years? ;).

I enjoyed having two Chinese teachers and hearing more Chinese. Using familiar language to describe new words and concepts reinforces previous content whilst learning new things. Thanks.

Yeah it's probably my least favourite aspect of Chinese culture: a complete disregard for animal welfare. I'm generalising of course, but yeah, it's not good.
