I think this topic is excellent. All the dialogues on ChinesePod are great. Somebody complained that it would be better to discuss a real war rather than a virtual one. Someone else said the terminology used in this lesson is too specialized and not practical. That's silly.
Advanced students want challenging material. The goal of the advanced student is to be able to understand as much Mandarin as possible regardless of the topic. You mean to tell me you don't want to be able to understand the words "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile"? You don't want to understand the words "radioactive material"? If so, you should consider enrolloing in the intermediate or beginner's courses. 天呢！
