I paid 3,600 for annual gym membership in shanghai. it's over subscribed, cramped and dingy, in need of a lick of paint and the changing rooms often dont smell too good. So I feel I have wasted my money, as I hardly go there now and avoid it at all costs during peak times. I guess I should have known when I picked a very central one that is located right next to the metro station.
The most hilarious thing was when I got the standard free personal trainer lesson to start with, this girl (who was amazing I have to say), told me that her price for personal training was 600 per hour. I thought she meant per month or something. Isnt it just crazy what some people are prepared to pay? It shows how many rich people there are in Shanghai I guess.
