There's a variation at the Beijing airport.  I ordered a pot of tea, and the bill came for $35!!

Interesting (and important!) discussion.  I'm moving to Beijing this fall.  I currently live in Mongolia, and we can get those 3 pound Costco-sized bags of Starbucks beans.  It sounds like I should put a couple of those in my shipment? Beans are hard to get?  Or just expensive?

Well, no one is ever going to ask me if I'm Chinese!  I would imagine they WILL ask me "where are you from?"  but that isn't actually part of the dialogue.
