I loved my 2 trips to Singapore. Clean, safe, and tons of great, cheap food. I learned to avoid the expensive tourist restaurants and eat at the food courts and restaurants on the side streets. One morning I was walking around pretty early and i saw workers scrubbing down the outdoor public garbage cans. I have never seen that. There are also these little boats that have some kind of skimmer on them to clean the garbage from the tops of the rivers. I keep telling my wife if she gets another overseas assignment Singapore is my top choice.

I didn't know Jenny is such a philosopher. These elementary diary lessons for me seem to be a good way to bridge the gap between the other elementary lessons and intermediate level.

I'm also going to eat baked yams, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Then loosen my belt, collapse on the couch and watch football.

Other odd Australian things. The $2 lottery costs $2.20. My favorite was the 24 hour Chatswood Medical Centre, open 7 AM to 11 PM.

Jenny's right, i really miss Sydney. I think of it often. Could chinesepod do a lesson on Singapore? I think that's a real fun place to. Lots of tourist stuff and the food is awesome.
