That is why I am asking. What can you tell me about Chinese "godparents"?

Great post and perfect timing. Some friends of ours from Shanghai have recently asked to be godpparents to their little girl. Huge responsibility! We are very honored to be asked, but  we are a bit fuzzy on all of our godparent duties and responsibilities. Are there cultural differences in expectations of us--maybe special Chinese customs that we need to know about so we be the best godparents ever?
