平常（píng cháng），经常（jīng cháng）and 通常（tōng cháng） are not quite confusable in China. As I am a native Chinese, I can tell you that these words are almost replaceable when using. Not your concept "everyday".

“干净”is also used to discribe a thing clean and edible.
