One quick question about something I didn't understand, why is it that both of the following sentences have the same structure but indicate different things?
他走了多久了?How long ago did he leave?
and
你等了多久了? How long have you been waiting?
I don't understand how the second sentence indicates an ongoing state and the first indicates a changed state, instead of meaning "How long has he been walking for?" What am I missing here?

A quick question about the translation of the first sentence in your Expansion section, it states "go ahead and wash my hair first", should that read "go ahead and wash your hair first"?
