“他没有打弟弟,因为他也觉得很好笑”this also sounds inappropriate. If the dad doesn't feel it's funny he may beat the little boy.

By the way, I would like to tell you guys here that 画画儿 - the last word 儿 is Beijing accent, it's not necessary to learn it. It is like Cockney in English.
