I’ve been listening to Chinesepod for about 3.5 years. Started on Newbie and now I’m Upper Intermediate level.
These lessons are too difficult compared to previous Upper Intermediate levels. It’s basically two native speakers having a nice chat, but there’s so much new vocabulary it’s WAY too hard to follow. I just switch off mentally.
The best lessons are Jenny + John by far. I think you need an ENGLISH native speaker in each lesson. That way they can actually understand from a learners perspective what’s easy and what’s probably new grammar/ vocab/ sayings in Chinese.
I’m still a subscriber to listen to the old lessons.
