I also thought some of the expansion sentences were pretty curly. Below are the ones that gave me the most trouble. Mind you, I use the grammar and expansion as ways to build my listening, so i have all text turned off.
I don't know if maybe my listening skills aren't at the same level as my vocabulary, or the way I use those sections is not the intended way. Either way of course it should be challenging, but these really threw me until i revealed the text

这件事一定要你去办我才放心。
这句话非要你亲口对她说才行。
哎，我女儿女婿离得远，一年能回来一趟就不错了。
If anyone has suggestions of better ways for me to improve my listening with material that is at or just beyond my current knowledge level, I'm all ears (har har)
