Ken frequently mentions the efficient nature of Mandarin, and how you can answer someone with the verb from the question posed.
I'm wondering if Chinese people ever speak in what an English speaker would consider a complete sentence.
Would it be odd if someone answered a question with "Yes, I do like Chinese food"? Instead of just "like"?
(Assume the above italicized English is Mandarin, I'm new)
Thanks!
