November 2, 2016 at 11:58 PMI didn't notice the tone mark on 'zhi' originally, but I think you're right - it should be third tone. 只 is only pronounced with a first tone when used as a measure word or when meaning 'single' in phrases like 只字未提 and 只言片语。I definitely heard the lower sound of a third tone in the dialogue too.

November 2, 2016 at 9:59 PMWhen talking about the DATE that it will expire (did expire) use 到期.
When saying it HAS EXPIRED use 过期.
我的签证下个月就要到期了。
你的护照怎么过期了?

November 1, 2016 at 9:43 PMI'm pretty sure that 提议 as a verb is closer to 'propose' or 'move to...' than 'suggest'.
It's used when putting a proposal to a group of people (usually in a formal situation).
提议 as a noun is a proposal.
I'm not a native speaker, but I found your question interesting and thought I'd try and answer it.
I hope it helps.

November 1, 2016 at 8:35 AMThat was fun to listen to, but not quite what I expected in a 请问。Um, was it supposed to be outtakes from a lesson about gym memberships? If it was not meant to be posted, please share it somewhere else as it is definitely a good listen :-)
How do you say 'outtakes' or 'bloopers' in Chinese btw?

November 3, 2016 at 1:37 AM'赶紧 do something' = to do something straight away without procrastinating/without delay
马上 = at once, right away (the focus is strictly on the time) - also you can use 马上 to describe events such as
电影马上就要开始了。The movie is just about to start.
You can't use 赶紧 in that sentence..
假期马上就要结束了,我得赶紧写作业。:-)
There are probably other differences and other similar words such as 立刻. I wonder if there is a Qing Wen lesson on this topic. Hopefully Veronique can better clarify it for you and provide the link to the Qing Wen lesson (if there is one).
