I have a question: why is there a 不过 in the second line? The English translation doesn't have "but" or "however", and I can't think of a reason to have that word in this sentence and , especially given the previous sentence

that sounds like a brilliant idea!!! I actually think it would be super cool if you guys came up with a weekly or biweekly show that's based on various genres of Chinese music. The show would have one(or 2?) songs per episode that the teachers would explain the lyrics and what it all means, just like they do with scripted dialogues from all of the current lessons. The lesson lyrics would be posted on either its own tab, or on the discussion board, along with pinyin. Each lesson could also include some pop cultural insight, such as information regarding famous music artists, which would allow us foreigners to know more about China.

I'm new to the site, but yes, I have noticed a considerable difference. Another thing I've noticed is that even though the Intermediate lessons are a bit easy for me, I tend to prefer studying them over the Upper Intermediate lessons because the topics are more practical

I'm really confused about the difference in ussage for 合适 and 适合。 I thought the easy way to remember it was 合适 means "appropriate" ,  and  适合 means "suitable, suits".

can we say " cai4 zen3me hai2 mei2 lai2 ", instead of " cai4 zen3me hai2 bu4 lai2 "  ?
