Second, I'm very interested in hearing from the hosts ( and anyone else) about what makes them think Chinese grammar is so difficult. I've always thought it's really simple, but I'm open to hearing other opinions.

May 23, 2010 at 10:45 AMokay. It is used at the end of short phrases and sometimes full sentences as an emphatic. It's used to indicate completion. Some times it's used for past tense verbs. When pronounced "liao3" , it's almost always in a v-得-liao3, or v-不liao3 pattern (Example: 上不了網)
pretty simple
