真有意思的话题！  五星！

Such a good topic, since as noted in the dialog, it's a hot topic in Western media these days.  I agree with Jenny that the reason a lot of people think China is "scary" is due to lack of understanding.  I've met plenty of people here in the U.S. that think China is still communist in terms of their economic system, which, from my experience living in China couldn't be farther from the truth!  (not that that should be a reason to think it scary anyways)

我只有一个问题。  对话里面的‘负面’是negative的意思。那‘负面’和‘贬义’到底有什么区别呢？

I would definitely like to see a follow-up to this. 

One of the reasons Chinesepod is so great is because there are so many interesting and realistic dialogs that would never be found in a textbook (this being a good example of one!)

I also noticed that the pronunciation of "blood" has been used differently.  For example, in the lesson where the husband and wife are arguing, the husband says he will go "mai4 xie3", but here it's "xue4".  I'm curious if both are acceptable and if so if there are any subtle differences in meaning between the two?
