April 18, 2008, 03:37 AMAt the beginning of the lesson, John says that "only Chinese has" 成语, but Japanese also uses 4 characters idioms called yojijukugo(四字熟語). For example, in Chinese, there is 不可思议. In Japanese there is the same 不可思議 (fukashigi).

April 17, 2008, 11:46 AMThis year, I bought a book for kids called 成语(冠军宝宝国学启蒙金牌读物). It's made of 45 成语, explained with a little story and cute drawings. I love the 狐假虎威 story. These 45 成语 may not be the most used, but there are very fun to read.
