What I would like to know is if there's an equivalent of the "deep and meaningful" phrase in Mandarin.
Let me give some context. I am thinking of those times when you are at a party and you go up to a boyfriend-girlfriend couple to have a chat. You walk up to them, but it's not until you're right up next to them you realise they have the serious face on. They will often say (at least in Australia we do anyway) "We're just having a 'deep and meaningful'." Then they turn away and leave you to wander away.
Is there an equivalent in Mandarin for this "deep and meaningful" (which in turn, is often shortened to "D&M") - is it fine to use
