Hi guys,

sorry to come so late into this discussion. i've just studied this lesson.

in the 家 session of the expansion we read:

你家有几口人？ (ni jia you ji kou ren).

Now, i'm not quite clear why 口人 stands for 'people' and not just 人 alone. 

anyone can help? i looked 口人 up in the dictionary but could't find the answer.
