April 13, 2016 at 12:50 AMGreat lesson! Definitely one of the first things to learn when you move to a Chinese speaking environment.
For take-away we have been saying "帶走" dàizǒu in Taipei.
BTW for anyone who wants a double espresso, you can say "雙份濃縮" shuāngfèn nóngsuō :)

April 5, 2016 at 3:11 AMHi Team, in this video Fiona mentioned that we can go to the Say It Right series to practise saying 'ri' (日). I've watched the series previously, but I don't think Xu Laoshi ever discussed the 'r' initial. Which video is it in?

February 17, 2016 at 1:27 AMHi guys, I just started out with ChinesePod and am loving it so far!
Just wondering if the 'to feed' character should be 餵 or 喂? The dialogue says 喂 but the vocab list says 餵. Also is it second tone or fourth tone (wéi / wèi)? To me it sounds like second tone in the dialogue. Thanks!

August 2, 2017 at 2:24 PMWow, very excited for this collaboration, I've recently been powering through the Mandarin Companion e-books. Even got the Prince and the Pauper paperback. I've been recommending them to my classmates too! It's great to see so many of the grammar patterns and vocabs I've been learning turn up in the texts :)
Also great to have graded reader material in traditional characters.
