Thanks but really it is not altruistic, as it helps me learn (I hope!) - I think Reigau is the same.

May 15, 2009 at 4:54 AMI also will add my voice to the fact that the doctor's voice is too quiet. In a quiet room at a PC I can turn the volume up and just about hear it, but I would imagine that if you are trying to listen on the way to work (say) it would be no good.
There have been several cases recently of sound level difficulties in other podcasts.

By chance I heard the first radio broadcast of the series many years ago which was later turned into books and a television series. I also saw a film version. They all differ in plot to some extent, and I prefer the original radio series, which one used to be able to buy as a set of cassettes(!) - I am giving my age away.

Please read Hitchikers Guide - Your analysis would be most illuminating! In my opinion it is quite briliant

Incidentally, I think that some Great Wall reds are very drinkable!
But one thing that has always worried me is the huge number of different dishes on Chinese menus. I have a feeling is that quantity sometimes wins over quality. A knowledgeable friend of mine will say that (certainly for Western Restaurants here) a small menu is often the sign of good quality as they can specialise and excell.

Are you trying to ruin my week?! There appears to be so much to reflect on here, that it could mean that I have no time for anything else. :-)
Do you know the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? At one point Arthur asks the ship computer to make him a cup of (English) tea, which sends the computer into such a state of reflexion that it has no bandwidth to pilot the ship (or that is my imperfect recollection).
I fear that I will have to park this poem for a time when I have the bandwidth!
