In #6 above is the phrase '请多关照' (qing3duo1guan1zhao4) which in my on-line dictionary is translated 'please treat me kindly (conventional greeting on first meeting)'. In Japan there is a similar expression which is practically mandatory to say when meeting someone for the first time. Is '请多关照' widely used in China? Or is it perhaps something said more in Taiwan due to the Japanese influence.

Likewise in the dictionary is the expression '承蒙关照' (cheng2meng2guan1zhao4) translated as 'to be indebted to sb for care / thank you for looking after me'. Again there is a similar expression used quite often in Japan. For example, you would say it to someone who had shown you around a city you visiting for the first time, or had lent you money when you needed it badly, or even to a good customer who bought your product or service, among other times. Is this expression roughly similar? Or is this just a dictionary expression not much in use, or perhaps used mostly in Taiwan?
