What are all the different ways to say "shampoo" and "soap", in Chinese ? Also, what are the differences in meaning and regional usage between them ?

October 23, 2011 at 8:06 AMit's funny to me, because it seems like even Chinese people aren't sure about the the usage of 小姐 (xiao3jie3) .
On the one hand, Chinese people call women 小姐 pretty commonly (I hear it used now and then, here in China, and Greg heard it the other day at H&M) , on the other hand they're always saying "it also means prostitute, we don't use this word much, just forget about it" .
One thing I love about the Chinese in Taiwan is that they don't have this rediculous phenomenon over there, and they don't have nearly as serious of a prostitution problem out there either.
