Can anyone comment on the role of why we use "le" with the affirmative, but not the negative in the following context. Thanks.

AY.

I'm hungry: 我饿。wǒ è le.

I'm not hungry: 我不饿。

wǒ bù è.

This is the same 过 "guò" that expresses "completed action", right? And yet in this example, it refers to how one "will pass / will spend" the New Year. Is there a way to interpret whether one is referring to past New Years or those in the future?

谢谢。

Is there any difference between:

1) 您稍等。nín shāoděng... and

2) 等 一下 děng yīxià.

Thanks.

I know that the following sentence is in the context of "昨天"...but as a Newbie/Elementary, intuitively, I feel the need to add "le" to the following sentence. Would this be incorrect?

Example: 我一直在家了,没离开了。Wǒ yīzhí zàijiā le, méi líkāi le.

How would one say, "I am a pre-school (nursery school) student." Though honestly, my three year old would have difficulty saying that in English or Spanish anyhow.

I understand that 洗澡 implies to take a shower / bath. But following up on an earlier comment, does anyone use 淋浴 línyù to specify taking a shower? I heard a friend of mine use this just last week. He is from Southern China...so maybe it is a regional thing.

I understand how 太闷了 refers to "it's too stuffy"...but for a word like wind ...is it correct to say, "太了" or is it better to say  yǒu zhēnde fēng!

From MDBG.net: 有风 yǒufēng windy

I understand that 我现在有事儿 means that one is busy. But is it also possible to say, 我现在忙. Don't they both mean the same thing...more or less?

Thanks.
