I'd also like to apologize for the late reply, as this is my first time listening to this lesson. I'm a western woman who lives in Beijing with my Chinese husband. His relatives (all 5 of them, ha, ha!) and his numerous friends and I get along well and we've had no major problems either with each other or with them. One thing that makes our relationship extremely unusual is that I'm a black American woman who's married to a Chinese man, but that hasn't caused us any problems. Take care and best of luck!
