March 16, 2011 at 3:10 AMI recall when I lived in Taiwan that uncooked rice was referred to as 米, and cook rice was 饭. Is it different on the 大陆 where you combine the two to refer to cooked rice? What do they call uncooked rice?

February 12, 2011 at 6:01 AMI'm loving this new program! Kind of fills the void Amber left. I think it's a great idea to interview the "average joe" on the street. Helps to get a feel for how Chinese sounds outside of the virtual classroom. The possibilites are endless. It would be cool to take a microphone and do a man on the street interview and just find people who you could ask interesting questions.

我非常欣赏这个系列。很喜欢它的创意和戏剧性。演员都演得很棒。我也学了很多关于中国古代文化和词汇。而且这样的结局使我很惊喜。有可能会有从那个时期还活着的人吗？还是这采访是几年前的节目？我知道课程是虚构的但只想知道是不是可能的。

September 30, 2009 at 12:07 PMIt's funny how the reactions to the "performance" on the original Audio Review were so varied. I for one have to agree with Tal. I found it so annoying that I couldn't finish listening to it. This isn't the first time he's been "creative", just not to this degree. God love him, I know he meant well, but it did seem unprofessional. Thanks Jon for modifying the file for those of us who were put off by it. Maybe you could have both available for those who liked it.
