I don't want to be rude and make it sound like I think they're old or not part of my generation, but I don't know how to respectfully address someone I don't know.

这是什么意思？我知道“不爽”是这课的一个生词，不过“报应”我看不懂。

这个队排好长， or, this line has lined up to be very long.
zhege dui paide haochang.
this line has grown very long.
