I wonder why China uses seating charts in movie theaters.  I wonder if some sort of chaotic seat finding behavior led to this...

Any ideas?

Wow! This lesson was exactly what I have been needing.  I feel a million times better about my own Chinese number learning problems after hearing Jenny and Ken discussing how deeply the L1's numbers can be imbeded in a lexicon. Thanks.

I think Spanish and English are a lot more similar than Chinese and English. Which, I think, that the differences in language, culture, and thinking really really can slow down the learning process. Don't give up!

A tolerance for ambiguity helps second language acquisition. The readers above were complaining about not understanding Jenny as she was explaining. Which, I guess, you have a point. It's not totally necessary to understand every single thing in order to follow a lesson.

That's awesome that your listening to and following intermediate lessons even though your at the "newbie" level! Nice. :)

Your tolerance for ambiguity has taken you far! :)

Is the diao (掉) in 脱掉 the same 掉 in sidiao?  Like, as in, to "drop dead"?  :)

Haha, maybe. I think that people like us because my husband is Chinese. We sometimes get special treatment because people get a kick out of that.
