 Hey.  In the expansion, "他不知道這件事不重要。" is translated as "It isn't important that he doesn't know of this matter."  Is it ambiguous and could also be read as "He doesn't know that this matter isn't important."  ? Thanks, anyone who has a thought.

It should be the same.  They re-used the dialogue and pointed out where we might make pronunciation mistakes.
