Listen to the Shanghai accent- to me, in the main, it is more similar to Taiwanese accent than it is to a Beijing accent. The Beijing bias is promoted by Beijingers, and I have nothing against them, but Beijing is not "standard". And frankly, you would have a hard time coming to a consensus among 10 mainlanders in a room if they come from different parts of China. To say that this content is wrong and laughable is basically jingoistic- perhaps busybees has an agenda attempting to discredit ChinesePod- if it's so terrible you'd think he'd just quit using it, right? "Nobody here in mainland would talk like that" is a pretty sweeping statement from someone completely unqualified to make that statement.
