February 13, 2009 at 5:04 PM静夜思 is great. It appears in a lot of textiles - I have lost count of the number of curtains and cushions I have seen it on. I don't know if it was chosen for this simply because it is beautiful and famous - a bit like choosing a Shakespeare sonnet for design use in the English-speaking world -of if there was some other reason.
The version I have seen in textiles is, I am sure, the version from 唐诗三百首。

February 10, 2008 at 10:47 PMJenny/John When the dialogue says 'haishi yiqian nage ma?' I translate literally to myself as 'still before than one?' meaning 'still the one from before?'. Could this also have been written 'haishi yiqiande ma?' and retained the same meaning?

It includes all pinyin, all characters and all translation - perfect for learning if, like me, you are still practising characters till your hands seize up. No dictionaries needed. Can be bought from Carreg Publishers, Edinburgh.
