July 8, 2017 at 6:32 AMCould someone please explain to me the difference between simply using 看 and看见? In English we can say: "We saw each other last night" meaning we met last night together. In Chinese we would use 见面 right? And how would 看到 fit in here? Thanks!

April 27, 2016 at 6:39 PMI only recently noticed the vocabulary review option and have to say its fantastic. Especially the last half of the session where we are asked to answer questions and expand on the vocab. Any plans to retrofit this style into the older lessons? Thanks!

March 20, 2016 at 3:17 PMHi, I'm just wondering if we could get some sentences which work on the principle of the last one in the dialogue to help clarify the grammar structure there. Thanks!

March 17, 2016 at 4:22 PMThanks so much Fiona for the very thorough response. Does this mean then that "hui" ups the certitude of the speaker vis a vis a future act? So that "yao" here is slightly more speculative? Thanks again!

March 17, 2016 at 4:50 AMJust wondering about 要 in this context.
明天我们要看电影
明天我们想看电影
Are these sentences correct? In the first sentence I want to express that we will see a film tomorrow, rather than that we'd like to see one. And could I substitute 会 for "yao" in the first sentence? Thanks for your help here!

March 3, 2016 at 4:52 AMHi, I'm just wondering if I could get some more clarification on just why the first sentence is constructed this way. Isn't 太太 usually used as wife? Are 先生 and 太太both synonyms for 丈夫 and 小姐? 谢谢!
