Replying to lujiaojie, you're doing a great job, but, like me, you're probably working too hard and possibly too fast.  Anyway, the English needs the other 'he' fixed.  I should have mentioned both of them because it's such a long remark that it's easy to have missed the second one down at the other end.  Bùhàoyìsi

I see. 'Le' didn't need to be there. Someone was probably carrying 'le'

over from the exercises just before where it was used. I do that sometimes

when I'm studying too vigorously in Mandarin. It can really foul you up!

It seems 'le' was not pronounced at the end of #6 expansion.

In the 4th expansion 'he' should be changed to 'you' in order to agree with the spoken & written Mandarin.

In the 10th expanson, could one say "...Wǒ yào gěi fángdōng dǎ diànhuà"?

Shouldn't the 9th expnsion have a 'le' at the end to show the action is ongoing as implied by the English translation?  Otherwise, shouldn't it be "He worked here for five years" to show the action is completed?
