A few questions:

Jiaojie bought a house on 2011-1-1, 但是新房子还没有拿到手, meaning she still doesn't have the house? Why?

New line of work? That's awful harsh. I don't see how the names are so important. Besides, English words are often spliced into everyday Chinese conversation, so get used to it. =p
