June 20, 2014 at 2:08 PMI've found that if the product is "unusual" then it will be difficult as the shop keeper will see your face and think your Chinese is a problem, not that it's an unusual product he doesn't have. Especially true the further west you go in China!

January 3, 2016 at 9:24 PMSomething that confuses me is when Manager Li says "我马上要开会" To me this would mean that Manager Li immediately wants (yao4) a meeting. However, here it means she has a meeting. Why didn't she say she has (you3) a meeting? I have had a similar misunderstanding in real life – so would be grateful if you could help! Thanks.
