Something that confuses me is when Manager Li says "开会"  To me this would mean that Manager Li immediately wants (yao4) a meeting.  However, here it means she has a meeting.  Why didn't she say she has (you3) a meeting? I have had a similar misunderstanding in real life – so would be grateful if you could help!  Thanks.

I've found that if the product is "unusual" then it will be difficult as the shop keeper will see your face and think your Chinese is a problem, not that it's an unusual product he doesn't have.  Especially true the further west you go in China!
