I also couldn't really make out what was being said in that part of the lesson. I'm not sure if that's a chinese word or not, because afterward I think the correct way of saying yin and yang is given, so I think Jenny was indicating how some people pronounce yin and yang. So maybe that's what the "EAyan" is and it isn't a word in Chinese. After a couple of times going over that part I think I heard a "yin and yan(g)". I also picked up 八卦 being used to mean two different things, I looked it up on mdbg while I was listening to the lesson and I found bagua also means Book of Changes, so thank you for confirming what I thought it might be because I'm used to hearing bagua always in the context of meaning gossip :)

我很喜欢这种的新的模式。这节课是一个很好的挑战。请继续做这样的高中级课程 :) 虽然我查了一些词但是我几乎都听得懂。从高中级水平到高级水平去是完美的。这是我第一次在中文里面交流，希望你可以懂我写的。我的听力很高但是我需要练习说话因为几年来我只听到你的博客和写汉字、我从来没说过中文。谢谢Jenny 和 Vera！多亏你们、我才能学到这么多的中文。你们说中文的时候、我能学更多的生词，还有能习惯怎么中文是说的。明天正好是我的生日、所以我很高兴看到这节课。我感觉这种新的模式像给我一个礼物因为这几天我想到开始学习一些高级课程。这节课程给了我自信、所以我会试一些比较高级的课程。谢谢！

I really like this new format. This lesson was a nice challenge for me. Please continue to do more Upper Intermediates like this :) Although I had to rewind a few times here and there in the lesson audio for some words that I didn't know, I was able to understood almost all of it. This is perfect to go from Upper Intermediate level to Advanced. This is actually my first time communicating in Chinese, so I hope you can understand what I wrote. My listening comprehension is high, but I need to practice my speaking ability in Chinese. For the past few years, I've only listened to your lessons and wrote Chinese characters, and I never really practiced speaking it. Thanks Jenny and Vera! Because of you two, I've been able to learn so much Chinese. When you speak in Chinese, I learn even more new words, and also get used to how Chinese is spoken. Tomorrow just so happens to be my birthday, so I was very happy to see this lesson. I feel like this new format is like a kind of present, because a few days ago I was thinking of trying out some of the advanced lessons but didn't feel I was quite ready yet. This lesson gave me the confidence to do so. Thanks!
