I THINK I understand.....just starting to learn this stuff though, so I'm looking for "rules"..... seems like the "de" has some, but breaks some too. I'll just accept it and move on. You're "shi" explanation makes sense though, so I'll hang onto that one.

September 17, 2012 at 5:41 PMJust a newbie here...... I'm confused why the "de" is at the end of this question. Does it have to do with the use of "zuo" ? In another lesson asking about jobs, the question is "ni zuo shenme gongzuo ?"...... Thanks for the help...... LOVE Chinese Pod !!

March 7, 2013 at 6:57 PMHey...... I need a better "chinese" name..... My oldest adopted Chinese daughter (I have 3) likes to call me "laoba"..... but that doesn't sound to "current"...... just old ! Hahaha.... better find something better.......
