September 9, 2017 at 8:43 PMWhen the guy says 像 - he doesn't seem to be pronouncing the "g" in "xiang". Even though I knew this word before, I couldn't decipher it at all when he said it. But during the explanations as well as in the vocabulary section that "g" is clearly pronounced and I had no trouble deciphering the word.
I think I have observed something like this in general.
Any comments on how to "learn" this both from hearing and speaking perspectives.
thanks

September 10, 2017 at 12:45 AMThis comment is not directly related to this lesson, but instigated by one example in Vocabulary section: zhè ge wǒ bùhuì,nàge wǒ yěbùhuì,wǒ jiùshì bèn!zěnmeyàng! This is how the pinyin is laid out on the site. However, the tone change rule will likely apply, and both 不 should be second tone (對嗎?). It would be great if somehow in sentences, if pinyin was already written with manifested tone (instead of their original tone). I understand that this may not be very easy/practical to do. thanks
