Whenever I don't understand a Chinese Person, I say 什么and usually I'll get a second chance at understanding.

In fact I find they will not only say it again but even *gasp* go into details that seem to be omitted quite often in Chinese.  

Also, all the foreigners I know who speak Chinese well have some sort of Immersion situation where that was their only Chance to use it.  For instance, my friend got a Chinese g/f in Beijing and his Chinese got very good. Of course there are plenty of other immersion situations that work as well but that is one example.

I really like this lesson alot! I also agree that revisiting a lot of old lessons would be great but I am completely ok with this too!

There is a small pizza chain in Beijing called 吉吉熊比萨 that also differs with this lesson's transliteration for the word pizza.

What gives China?!
