Hello, I am really having trouble with the tones. I understand basically what they are supposed to be.

BUT, I went to the website listed below and I missed many of the tones.

Has anyone had similar difficulties "hearing" the tones?

I am a complete newbie when it comes to Chinese. I find the lessons here helpful, but I'm having trouble with the tones.

I just came across a very interesting video for newbies from another website. If I may post it, here it is:

It's very entertaining and teaches a few greeting phrases.

Pinyin Tone Marks add-on:

This may be a bit off-topic, but does anyone know how to use the Pinyin Tone Marks add-on?

I enabled it, but where do I use it?

If I am typing Pinyin (ex: xin1, gan1, yi1, hen3) do I have to click something to turn it into "pretty" Pinyin?
