September 21, 2016 at 6:17 PMHave just put 戏剧化, that Fiona used in the discussion, into Pleco, and one of the other results was 戏剧化人格违常 - histrionic personality disorder, which immediately takes its place as one of my all time favourite vocabulary items. Have long needed a Chinese expression for drama queen. Will bust this out on GF at first available opportunity.

September 19, 2016 at 2:39 PMGood lesson. Interesting that they didn't directly translate 'red wedding' as i guess that would just have made it sound extra lucky or just like every other wedding in china, but it would have given it some added irony.
Regarding the stand alone 血， when i lived in China (in the far north near the wall in keeping with the GOT theme - where the creatures on the other side really were tall and thin with piercing blue eyes and ghostly white ancient looking skin - we called them 俄罗斯人） everybody around me seemed to pronounce it xue3
