Since there is almost no maintenance of the air conditioning system in big buildings in China, you can feel very fast that the air is 闷! Also, the materials used for construction contribute to the "inside" air pollution by producing small particles. Whatever is the level of the urban pollution outside, it seems better to open the window regularly to change the inside air. The Chinese way seems very healthy.
