May 26, 2011 at 2:47 AMI've picked up the habit of using 一下 to soften my requests a lot, but sometimes I find myself using it when I describe what I am doing/going to do, too. For instance, "我带孩子出去玩一下。" Is this also an okay way to use it? I'm not sure how I picked that one up.
Also, what about something like 一点 to soften a request. This morning I asked our house helper, "今天可以买点菜吗？" I assumed the 点 had a similar effect - is that correct?

October 28, 2010 at 6:00 AMI noticed 孩子家 means "Child! (said with scolding tone)." Does 女孩子家 also carry this scolding tone? I'm not sure how it differs from 女孩子，or if it does. Thanks for the great lessons! Incidently, I like that 啃老的啃意思是"gnaw, nibble," 挺有意思的。

May 30, 2011 at 8:54 AMBST里面的也好，不过我喜欢可以看对话，看生词，看expansion的。这样我学的更好。所以呢，不可以说BST的采访完全代替upper intermediate的。
